This Week on the Charles!

OK sports fans, lots going on this weekend and lots of visitors. Also, scroll down to see the midweek events as well.  As always please avoid race courses when possible, yeild to race officials and follow races down the course when not.

 

 

SATURDAY, APRIL 21ST

5:45am - Noon.  College racing on the 2k course (between Longfellow and BU).  MIT, NU, Harvard, Wisconsin, Stanford, Buffalo, Holy Cross, NU, Oregon State, Cornell, Columbia, URI, UMass'

9:00am - 10:00am.   Possible CRLS Vs. TBA in the Powerhouse (Between Weeks and Magazine Beach)

2:00pm - 4:00pm.  BB&N/Groton/Porters/Derryfield Boys/Girls Crew Powerhouse Race

 

SUNDAY, APRIL 22nd

7:00am - 9:00am.  College racing on the 2k course (between Longfellow and BU).  MIT and Harvard 

 

MONDAY-FRIDAY

3:30-5:30pm.  Mass Bay League High School Sailing.  Have you read your  Sailing Advisory for Rowers at http://www.charlesriverallianceofboaters.org/docs/Sailing_Advisory.pdf  .  Steer clear of the basin if not.  This goes for weekends after 9am too.

 

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 25th

3:30-5:30pm.  High School racing in the Powerhouse (between Weeks and Magazine Beach).  Brookline v. Belmont Hill JV, Belmont Hill v Groten, CRLS v Belmont Hill, CRLS v. GRow

6:45am to 11:00am on the 2k course (Longfellow to BU).  Regatta - MIT, Harvard, Dartmouth, Princeton, Syracuse, Brown, NU

11:00am - afternoon in the lower basin, The Coed New England Dinghy Championship.  Both Harvard and MIT boathouses in use.  Rotation may take place off either dock depending on wind.

10am to 11am in the Powerhouse (Weeks to Magazine Beach)  CRLS vs. Thayer academy on the basin 2k course

11:00am to 1pm pm on the Powerhouse (Weeks to Magazine Beach) - Belmont Hill Crew Scrimmage

2pm to 3pm in the Powerhouse (Weeks to Magazine Beach) 'BB&N Boys V Dexter Crew

And for those of you who have not noticed, the Mass Bay League (high school sailing) is back in action in the lower sailing basin (Longfellow to Mass Ave) from 3:30 to 5:30 every weekday.  Lots of kids, lots of boats.  Now might be a really good time to review the

11:30 - 12:30am.  - 'BC High V. CRI, Brookline'

 

Powerhouse Stretch High School Course, Weeks through River and Western, finishing at Magazine Beach.

1pm - 2:30pm   'CRLS Vs. BB&N'

2:30-4:30pm   'Belmont Hill Exeter Deerfield'   1V-3V eights scrimmage.
