Fw: Re: FISA boat donation

See below for info on a neat initiative.

Thanks to CRI for heading it up and reaching out to include everyone else and hopefully make it a bigger success.

Here you go:

Boat/Oars Donation for Rowing Development in Trinidad & Tobago

World Rowing, working with CRI-Boston, is sending a shipping container of donated equipment to the nation of Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean to get that nation on the water. If you have any secondhand equipment that you'd consider donating to help, please contact Matt Lehrer at matt.lehrer@communityrowing.or g

Equipment needs include boat (except 8+'s) and oars of any size sweep or sculling. T&T is particularly interested in any wider hulls that would be appropriate for rough water. The current shipment contains:
  • 2 Vespoli 4+'s
  • 1 Alden Trainer 2x
  • 2 C2 ergs
  • 1 set 8 sweep oars
  • 2 sets sculling oars
Pickup of donated items can be arranged. Any help you can provide is much appreciated!
