Public Meeting to discuss CRAB-MIT Partnership to map the Charles River

CRAB Members and other members of the Charles River Community,

In an email in mid-November, we announced the formation of a partnership between CRAB and MIT to develop a depth chart of the Charles River.  Details of this announcement can be found at http://www.charlesriverallianceofboaters.org/chart.html.  MIT has conducted several feasibility measurements that have clearly shown that we can accurately measure the depth of the river along its length and width.

We would like to invite you to attend a meeting to learn about and discuss this effort on Wednesday, January 20, at 7:00 pm, at the MIT Sea Grant College Program.  The meeting will be held in a conference room on the third floor of Building E38.  This building is conveniently located next to the entrance of inbound Kendall/MIT MBTA station.  Parking can also be easily found in the area at parking garages or the street.

A presentation will be given that will outline our plans to gather data and make it available to the public.  There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and express your interest.

If you are planning to attend, please RSVP here.
