ALERT Riverside dock placement change

 A word from Riverside:

Heads up boaters especially you backwards facing rowers.... construction  is nearly complete on the Riverside docks. They are now positioned in a new configuration. -  and this may change your usual traffic pattern.

As you may know, a few years ago, ice build up behind the dock pushed the docks out, taking the porch with it.  Emergency repairs were made but a permanent solution, which included pilings, was needed.

The new configuration pushes the docks out further into the river. For those of you who like to cut that corner and buzz the  downstream end of the RBC dock, take a good look when rounding the turn in the upstream direction.

Riverside boats waiting to dock should hover downstream in the shadow of the dock closer to shore.  Riverside boats that need to adjust after launching should wait in the shadow of the dock on the upstream side.

Riverside asks that you alert them to any issues that you see arising from the new configuration.

Also, power boaters please take note that the Red Bull event next Saturday will have State Police/Ranger detail and will ask powerboaters to hold for races.  More details to come.
