UPDATED this weekend on the Charles

Saturday, Sept 22,
7:30AM to 9:30AM
UBC Stake Race, buoyed square course around the entire Longfellow to Mass Ave section of the River.Union Boat Club would like to invite you to the 2012 Commissioners Cup Stake Race this Saturday. The race is open to all singles and double sculls (men, women, mixed). There is no entry fee for this event. Meeting time will be 7:00am prompt at the Union Boat Club dock, where bow numbers will be distributed and waivers signed/collected. The race will start promptly at 7:30am.  The format of the Commissioners Stake Race is an approximate 3k head style race piece starting from the UBC Lagoon, racing to the Cambridge corner or the Longfellow Bridge, then up to the racing arch at the Mass Ave Bridge, and back down to the UBC Lagoon.  While we calculate the results, enjoy coffee and snacks at UBC.

Sunday, Sept 23
7:00am to 8:30am
Head of the Kevin Part II, HOCR course, (BU Boathouse to upstream of the boardwalk at Herter Park).
Best 2 of 3 race series on the Head of the Charles course for Riverside Boat Club members and invited guests.  Other rowers are asked to NOT jump into the starting order as it screws up timing.  All participants are reminded that they MUST adhere to the traffic pattern.  Any rower who cannot stay where he or she needs to be at full pressure should not participate.
 
HEADS UP!
Sunday, October 7th,
9am to 5pm, 90!  Canoes and Kayaks will be filled with Boyscouts paddeling between Eliot and Arsenal Bridges.  If rowing, it is highly recommended that you finish your HOCR pieces and flee the area BEFORE 9am.
 
6pm to 9pm
The River will be CLOSED from Arsenal Bridge to Elliot Bridge for a DCR Permitted event.  Please adjust your schedules accordingly.  More informaion will be available about this event but in the meantime, mark your calendars.
